| Title: | Surreal Buckskin | Location: | Buckskin Gulch, Vermillion Cliffs, Arizona |
| Image #: | 1403 | Date: | April 28, 2010 |
| Camera: | Canon 5D Mark ii | Notes: | On this day I was foolish enough to begin my journey at the Buckskin Gulch Trailhead which meant a three mile hike through the desert before reaching the beginning of the Gulch. This wouldn't have been so bad but on this day there was an intense wind storm blowing sand everywhere and making it hard to see. It was so nice to finally reach the slot canyon though it was constantly raining sand from above. Once in the heart of Buckskin Gulch the light can be quite amazing. The patterns on the sandstone are extremely attractive, especially when it all begins to glow in the reflected light from the opposite wall. |
