I've called this little sandstone abstract "Division". It is interesting to see these two colors of sandstone sharply divided from each other. Then there appears to be a second rift between the top and the bottom which crosses the color boundary. Finally, there is a deep crack which runs from top to bottom which affects all the previous divisions. It so reminds me of the way we isolate ourselves into groups of "us" and "them" unaware of the bigger problems that affect us all. |
