Print Only
The print only option is the most affordable route to go. It also gives you the greatest flexibility in choosing your own matting and framing to match your decor. Prints are also great if you are in a hurry as they usually arrive in 5-7 days.
Matted Prints
If you order one of our matted prints, we choose a luxurious suede matting that we think goes well with the photo you have chosen. The suede matting adds a sense of richness and texture to the piece and this form of matting is extremely popular in the gallery. I don't offer custom matting options so if you have a very specific idea of the matting colors or textures I encourage you to order the "print only" option and have it matted yourself. We mat all prints to standard sizes (8x10, 11x14, 16x20) so that frames can be purchased affordably. Matted prints ship in about 10 days. Click here to see a close-up of a suede matted print.

Plaque Mounted
30"x45" Plaque Mounted Print
This mounting option is by far our most popular format. It is both durable and beautiful. It allows the images to reveal an almost three dimensional quality creating the impression of actually being there. This is because there is almost no glare or reflection such as you find with even the most expensive types of glass. An additional benefit is that the artwork is very durable and can even be cleaned with a soft damp cloth. The artwork also resists fading because it has UV protection.
This is a relatively new process and you will find it called by a variety of different names such as Color Plaque, Dry Tack, Photo Laminate, etc. The process begins with a standard archival photographic print on either Fuji Crystal Archive or Kodak Super Endura paper. This is then laminated with a 4mm thick UV protective plastic sheet that is designed for fine art prints. It is a very special product that is imported from Birmingham, England. The laminated print is then adhered to a recycled and environmentally friendly 3/8" HDF wood background with an acid free adhesive. The edges are then finished typically with a black trim. The finished piece then hangs on the wall using a French cleat which is a hanging system often used with cabinetry and ensures that the piece is secure and always straight.
When the prints are mounted in this way it creates a very modern and professional feel. The standard wood mounted prints generally work best in contemporary settings but we also have other options for a more traditional look. When ordering a standard wood mounted print realize that since there is no matting or frame that the print size is the same as the final size of the piece. It typically takes 4 weeks from the time an order is placed until it is shipped.
Float Format
There are two formats of plaque available. The first is called a float (See image above.)This format sits off the wall about 1" allowing for a shadow to be cast on the wall, creating a greater sense of depth. The second format is called a "box". With this option the edge extends back to the wall. This option is best if the piece is going to be viewed quite often from its side rather than straight on. Both formats use a French Cleat to attach to the wall. We typically send out float mounted plaques on web orders but if you have a preference for a box format or a different edge color than black, please let me know using this link after you have placed your order.
Framed Plaque
We now also offer a unique framing system for our plaque mounted images. This option is perfect if you are wanting a more traditional frame but want to benefit from the great features offered by plaque mounting. In my opinion it is an even classier feel and one that we are beginning to use for displaying images in the gallery. The frames we are using are about 2" thick and create the impression that the plaque is floating within the frame by use of a gap between the inside edge of the frame and the plaque. These frames come in both walnut and black and are an affordable way to take the photo to the next level. Click here to see a close-up of the frame.

Acrylic
A new option that we have just begun offering involves mounting the prints behind a special fine art acrylic. This option gives a little extra punch to some images and is a very clean modern feel. Unlike other acrylic products you may have seen, we are using one that is completely scratch resistant! This format is similar to the plaque mounting and can be ordered directly from this website. Like the plaques they take about 4 weeks to receive from the time you order.

Canvas (giclee)
We are no longer offering canvas prints via the website. This is due to the difficulty in shipping gallery wrapped canvases and the fact that not all images will work well in a gallery wrap. Canvas is one of my least favorite mounting options, but if you come into the gallery we can discuss it and I will help you consider the various options.

How to Place an Order
Prints can be ordered directly from the individual image pages. Simply select the link which says: "Order Print". Then choose the size and options you would like. The website processes the orders via PayPal. If you would prefer to pay directly with with Visa or MasterCard, contact me and I can arrange to take the order over the phone.
