These images of Rocky Mountain National Park are in a panoramic format which is ideal for those awkward places such as above doorways, stairways and other narrow areas in the home or office.

The sea stacks along the Olympic Coast sometimes seem to take on almost human form reminiscent of the statues on Easter Island. Photo © by Erik Stensland.

I don't normally shoot black and white, but on this occasion I felt like it better emphasized the ripples in the mountains showing the texture as the sun set on this stormy evening. It is cropped to be a panorama. Photo © by Erik Stensland.

One of my favorite places in the UK is Cape Cornwall. The land seems to stretch itself out into the sea as far as it can go but the miles of blue beyond it are endless. It is such an inviting place that makes you want to sit and ponder eternity. Photo © by Erik Stensland.

The Towers of the Virgin in Zion National Park put on a very nice show at sunrise. It was quite amazing to watch the rocks light up, the shadows compliment the scene while the sky behind maintained its color. It was a real treat. Photo © by Erik Stensland.

This image of a winding road in Valley of the Gods, Utah captures something of that classic desert southwest feel as the road disapears amongst the towering buttes. I chose black and white as I felt that it better conveyed the feel fo the loction. Photo © by Erik Stensland.

The solitude and quiet of this location is hard to describe. There is nearly complete silence and the only sound is the beating of your own heart and the sound of one's own breath. As I stood alone on the desert the stars faded away as the sun began to rise, lighting the clouds above Factory Butte providing the perfect start to a peaceful day. This image is a composite of numerous photos and so has great detail and can be printed at very large sizes. The little web photo here does not do any justice to this image which really needs to be seen in a large print size to be truly appreciated. Photo © by Erik Stensland.

This was my first visit to Cedar Breaks. It is a lot like Bryce Canyon but with a lot less traffic. I enjoyed an evening here enjoying the last light of the day gentle reflect from the clouds onto the formations below. Photo © by Erik Stensland.

There are few places on this earth which compare with the view of the Green River from high above at Deadhorse State Park in Utah. I think it is even more spectacular than the Grand Canyon. This place is almost impossible to capture with a single image so this one is a composite of 6 high resolution images in an attempt to communicate the vastness and detail of the scene. On my way back towards Moab from Deadhorse State Park I noticed these layers of ridges in the distance. I found a pull off and did my best to capture this interesting scene. I'm not sure exactly which formations these are but I'm glad that I stopped. Since the scene was already very monochromatic, I decided to process it in black and white to more clearly emphasize the shapes. Photo © by Erik Stensland.

This is a heavily photographed spot near Page, Arizona. The Colorado river winds its way southward through this very deep gorge. To shoot this I stood on tiptoes near the edge so that I could get a good view straight down. To be different, I shot this image as a stitched panoramic which is comprised of nearly 30 photos allowing me to print this in extremely large sizes. It can be cropped in different formats and I have it both with boats in the water and without. Contact me for pricing and size options. Photo © by Erik Stensland.
